We’re thrilled to have Isa Renteria join our Slide Nine team as an account executive. With over two years of agency experience, Isa brings a strong foundation in media relations, an intuitive and strategic storytelling mindset, and a talent for translating complex topics into clear and compelling narratives.
What brings you joy at work? What inspires you?
Feeling connected to my team and clients through great work and goodwill brings me the most joy at work. I’m always inspired by teammates who show up with positive attitudes while staying resilient.
What drew you to the communications field?
When I was a kid, I would produce my own radio show with a tape recorder and a soundboard app, which evolved into recording cooking shows on my tablet, which has now become creating content for clients. I’ve always been a creative storyteller, and I’m lucky enough to have it be my career!
How do you approach creating a memorable client experience?
Trust is the foundation of any relationship, including client relationships. For me, a memorable client experience starts with building that trust through authentic hospitality, a grounded understanding of clients’ needs, and consistent follow-through. Clients should feel confident that you truly understand their team and their strategy – and that you’ll deliver great work. When the trust is there, a great partnership grows naturally.
What trends are you keeping an eye on for 2026?
Anything AI. Insert eye roll. The constant buzz around the AI revolution is valid because innovation is moving faster than the rules can be written, and it’s a storm that affects every single industry – denial aside. As we head into 2026, this matters especially for communicators, as most of us have realized that AI can’t create culture or connection with audiences. Only humans can. Ultimately, I’ll be watching for where humans can shine the most this year.
What’s the biggest win or most exciting work you’ve done throughout your career?
One of the more exciting moments early in my career was landing my first Good Day Columbus segment. Fellow Columbus PR folks know how fun that is, and for me, it was a big moment. It’s always rewarding to see hard work pay off in person.
What tools/websites do you use to keep up with the latest trends and news?
I’m subscribed to a variety of local, trade, and national newsletters, with Axios being one of my favorites. And in true digital native fashion, news is integrated into my social feeds, so I’m truly always plugged in.
What are you listening to while focusing on getting work done?
Recently, I’ve been relying on my Spotify Daylist to tell me what to listen to, which can range from Bad Bunny to Billy Joel, depending on the time of day. But when I really need to focus, I’ll listen to EDM. David Guetta even made it to my top artists on Spotify Wrapped this year.
What are you most looking forward to in your role with Slide Nine?
I’m most looking forward to transforming my strategic instinct into real expertise and learning from an incredibly smart and ambitious team.
